It all started when I asked Lydia if she would be my model for a senior session - AT sunrise.
now... I knew it was going to be cold - and I wasn't exactly super happy about it as I had really wanted to do this session in the fall - butttt... we had an unexpected freeze and it stayed cold for a good week... and SO we had to rough it before, we figured, it might get even colder...
I got to our meeting place 10 minutes early. YUPP! I had calculated in at least 20mins extra on purpose - and wow! it ALL worked out for good! I got there in time and so did she!
We found a neat field and started shooting even before the sun was up. It was really cold... and we took breaks to thaw in the car. {hurried breaks I might add - the lighting was just SO amazing!}
After about an hour Lydia's hands were positively blue and red ~ they were like ice! Sorry about that Lydia...
We did get some really beautiful pictures though!! My first real portraits with dreamy, hazy golden light! :)
Editing was yet again really hard... so many good ones!! {I'm still working out my workflow, so I take a while...}
Lydia ~ Thank you so much making the early morning hours enjoyable! It was so fun! You're beautiful, inside and out, and I was so blessed to capture that for you! May God show you what steps to take in the busy year ahead! Thank you for being a model for me! You totally rocked it girlfriend! You look great in front of my lens! :) Let's do it again - "in summmerrrrrrrr!" Enjoy my favorites!
Beware - there's "only" a "few"... :)
Blessings,
